2015 State Fair of Texas®

Get your bags packed and your road maps ready – the State Fair of Texas® is just around the corner, bringing you an all-access pass to Texas-sized fun! A celebration of all things Texan, the State Fair encourages visitors to explore the great Lone Star State and all it has to offer. A combination of entertainment, art, agriculture, history and cuisine, the State Fair provides fairgoers with a unique way to experience every aspect of Texas culture, all in one place. With that in mind, the State Fair invites you to grab your family and friends and start planning your trip to the 2015 Fair, themed “Passport to Texas.” This year’s exposition will run Friday, September 25 through Sunday, October 18 at historic Fair Park in Dallas.

A joint program between the State Fair of Texas, Southwest Dairy Museum and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Farm Day at the Fair is a TEKS-based program providing six in-classroom lesson plans culminated by a learning excursion to the livestock barns at the State Fair of Texas.

This program is intended to raise awareness and importance of agriculture in urban youth. Open to 3rd and 4th graders from the DFW area.

 

 

Multiple experiences such as milking a cow or fitting an animal can be enjoyed at one of the State Fair’s many educational shows.

Daily animal shows during the State Fair teach about horses, cows and even a dog or two!

2015 Big Tex® Choice Awards -Since 2005, the State Fair’s Big Tex Choice Awards contest has solidified the annual exposition as the top fair for great food creations.

Fair food fanatics will love the newest addition to the Fair’s list of daily discount programs –Thrifty Thursdays.

 

 

Celebrity Chef Kitchen – Presented by Cutco - Join popular chefs from some of Texas’ most prominent restaurants at the Cutco Celebrity Chef Kitchen as they prepare and share some of their favorite dishes.

 

Magnolia Beer Garden - The Magnolia Beer Garden is a destination for the discriminating beer connoisseur at the State Fair of Texas.  With a selection of Texas, craft and international beers, there is something to please every taste.

 

The State Fair Wine Garden - The State Fair Wine Garden is a great way to explore the wide variety of wines made right here in the Lone Star State.

There are approximately 100 daily performances at the State Fair of Texas, all included in the price of your admission ticket. With so many options, there is something for everyone. From live music to acrobats and animal stunts, the stages and arenas at the State Fair are filled with exciting entertainment options everyday.

 

 

Buckle up for the State Fair of Texas Auto Show! As the largest new car auto show in the Southwest, this event showcases approximately 400 of the latest models from the world’s leading manufacturers.
